With the advent of online video sites, learning Hebrew is now easier than ever with free videos. The people that make the videos have been very creative and artistic. We will discuss some of the videos available in this article. All beginners must start with the basics, the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. While you can learn to speak Hebrew without reading it, many of the videos will show the letters, so you will want to learn how to pronounce them first. There are several ALEF-BET songs available online, but one of the all-time favorites is the one by Debbie Friedman. The videos are a mix of commercial demos and videos developed by volunteers. HebrewResources.com has uploaded several lessons from “At Home with Hebrew” and their new “Hebrew Kindergarten” product. Some of the Ulpan schools in Israel have uploaded samples of their students applying what they have learned. There are several types of videos where the words are displayed on the screen, and someone reads the words. An author known as “bnaiorpueblo” has posted several of these using verses from the Hebrew scriptures. Listening to Hebrew songs is yet another great way to improve your Hebrew language skills. Songs are catchy, and the melodies make it easier to learn Hebrew vocabulary. On the videos, you hear a mix of songs and liturgy. Children can also learn from the online videos. One set of Hebrew lessons are taught by “Vampire Bear”. As an adult, it may sound juvenile, but children probably love it. It’s also possible to learn Hebrew liturgy via the online videos. One of the lessons teaches the prayers for lighting candles on Friday night before the Shabbat meal. Several people have recorded the Shema V’Ahavta, and allow you to follow the words while the liturgy is sung. If you are already past the alphabet, then you might be ready to just learn some vocabulary. Some videos contain simple lists of vocabulary words, pronounced with a good Israeli accent. The videos are usually just a few minutes, and organized by topics. If you are bored with learning Hebrew by books, then you should check out the site below to see some of the online videos. There is a Chinese proverb that says, “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”

This is certainly true. How does an infant learn to walk? Frist they crawl, pull themselves up, and then take those first few steps, which open open up a whole new world to them.
They have learned a new skill, a skill that they shall need the rest of their lives.

How as adults do we take steps? Often we are in a hurry and we want the result yesterday. The most important thing is to take action and to be realistic about the timeframe in which what you desire will be accomplished.

If you feel stuck, stand still and focus. State your goals and describe how you can achieve them. We all started as helpless infants and leanred what we needed to learn to live in this world as safely as possible.

We can take one step at a time. If you have a huge project, break it down into smaller compartments or segments and work on one at a time. When you are finished you will look back feeling more confident. You can apply this concept in all areas of your life!

Most people feel a type of energy when they begin moving into a new direction. And remember, your direction does not need to be my direction.

Do what matters to you - go the distance - act - plan - feel - execute. Just as a child struggles to become mobile, so can we make our jouney, one step at a time.

I stared into those biggest of navy blue eyes and felt the power of
his fighting spirit, despite the pain and week long raging fever. Most
of the time my heart was in my throat and my mind was awash with
counter-productive thoughts like, “why him?” and “this isn’t fair!”

This wasn’t helping him to be sure (my daughter was much stronger
than I), but in spite, he not only survived the arduous ordeal, but he
emerged the victor!

I am talking about my infant grandson, Corbin Nicolas, clobbered
with a serious infection of the lymph glands. This tiniest of
gladiators toughed out what few adults could have and not only
amazed his wonderful pediatrician and hospital staff, but I feel
profoundly and positively impacted them.

My precious bundle of joy is not a superhuman little being. He is
simply a child, like any other, who knows no different than to fight
the fight and win!

Now I ask you: what if YOU knew NO other way than to just go out
and win? Well, that’s how the true achievers of this world think 24
hours a day, 7 days a week. Further, it is the lack of this thinking
process that is most often the sole difference between success and
failure.

When failure is perceived as a possibility, it will most likely become
your reality. However, when we envision success as the only
option, just as natural as gravity itself, success is achieved. Not
without sacrifice. Not without setbacks. And certainly not without
pain. But, it IS achieved!

Personally, and most probably, I’m at least an entry-level
workaholic with enough Virgo perfectionism to allow my thinking to
stray off course at times. My stress level rises, my thinking
patterns disintegrate and I become unfocused. Suddenly, my
forward motion is slowed, halted or even reversed.

I was in such a tailspin when the call came from my daughter that
something was terribly wrong with Corbin. Of course, business just
didn’t matter at that point, but it was through this trauma and “in”
someone who has been on this planet more than 90 times less
than me, and who knew no different than to “just do it!”, that I found
my way again.

Corbin was released from the hospital after his ten-day fight, better
than new and all the stronger in both body and soul.

Look, I’m not a preachy person (most of the time anyway), but
every now and then we all need a wake up call to remind us of the
very simple laws that propel our universe. And I received mine so
close to home and in a circumstance that had absolutely nothing
to do with the entrepreneurial spirit, but everything to do with the
human spirit.

I learned my lesson through the eyes of a child.

We can put our minds together and deduce a new beginning, if not at the very beginning, at least not at the end of humanity. Let’s meld our purpose and share the provisions of our hearts and minds to reinstate the possible. God will give us guidance.”

“I see nothing but shadows Glorious. My thoughts are too disheartened for a meeting of our minds to do any good. Woe is me, where has all the magic gone?”
“It has left us at the entranceway of a new beginning my dear friend Gali if we can only find our way. We must try again. It is God’s will.”

“But they are all gone Glorious, all our friends, their culture, their very humanity. We cannot expect to resuscitate civilization with our own shaky salvation.”

” I guess Gali there is nothing left to do but have faith. What else is left to us?”

“Maybe you are right Glorious. What else can we do but have faith. I will try again with you. Come, join your thoughts with mine and we will try to begin again. Together we will resonate as one voice; one thought in our attempt with God’s help to resurrect humanity.”

“That’s the spirit Gali. After all, we are nothing if not free spirits.”

“This mind meld must be working Glorious. You are starting to sound like me.”

“And you Gali are starting to think like me. Isn’t it wonderful? Together we shall find the power for humanity’s salvation, and maybe even our own redemption. I can feel it, can’t you? The old magic is coming back. A new future is in the making. May we find a better way to be civilization’s guardians this time under God’s good grace. May we begin again.”

“Can you perceive it Glorious? Can you sense the strength returning to our spirit? Can you not see the vale of despair lifting? Where shall we start my old friend?”

“We must start before the final bombs fall Gali. We must go back in time. We must change the ending to find a new beginning.”
“I see, would that it were ever thus. Can we do this Glorious?”
“Do we have a choice Gali? “What are they waiting for?”

“They are waiting for final instructions Glorious. Here on the frozen Tundra of Siberia they are waiting for the command to let loose the final bombs that will end the world.

“Where will the orders come from Gali? What can we do to stop them? Why are they fighting?”

“They are fighting for different ways of life. They are fighting for religious principals. The orders will come from bunkers buried deep in the earth far from here where men of fanatical endeavor will give the orders. We can only stop them if we can show them that there is no one right way. We must show them that there has got to be a better way than destroying humanity to prove whose way is right. We must reinvigorate them with the possibility of a better tomorrow. We must give them hope Glorious. And we must do so quickly. Time my old friend is not on our side this day. We will have to split up. You must go to the West. I will go to the East. We must get them to stand down. Hurry, we are almost out of time. They are about to destroy the world. There will be nothing again - no humanity, no civilization, no hope for the future. I do not believe this is how God would have it.”

“How will I know what to say Gali?”

“Remember we are of one mind Glorious. We shall know each other’s thoughts. We shall speak as one mind. Hurry, we must find a better way. God will give us the words.”
